So, what's there to say? I'm an anime and gaming otaku and a political junkie. Most of my interests (and thus, my posts) trace back to one of those two points, so I suppose it's as good a place to start as any. I translate a lot of Japanese (mostly anime, but sometimes just plain J-Pop) songs as a hobby and have been for years, so a bunch of those will probably pop up here (I'm studying it now in college, but I actually started teaching myself about six years ago). Sometimes, I like to philosophize about the current political currents compared to anime. Those posts may seem a little batty, but hey, if Maureen Dowd can write one of her columns comparing Obama to the main male in Pride and Prejudice (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/03/opinion/03dowd.html), I don't see why I can't take a swing. So now that I've outlined some of the more probable of the odder posts I write, you can also expect anime news and reviews here, my own style of political punditry, and the occasional adorable puppy! Who doesn't want that?
